Vertex (VRTX) Continues to Climb

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. (VRTX) continued its domination, yesterday.  For a day in which the DOW finished in negative territory, Vertex (VRTX) climbed 6.73%.

The Vertex (VRTX) Post Election Rocket

In 2016, before Trump was elected, I had a watch list of more than 10 stocks that I kept tabs on from time to time.  These included:

Exxon Mobil, Caterpillar, JPMorgan Chase, Domino's Pizza, Microsoft, Intel, Apple, Vertex, Eli Lilly, AbbVie, Johnson & Johnson, and Pfizer.

Having followed the Trump campaign closely, I expected a lot from these heavy hitters if he won.  Well, after trading closed on Wednesday, November 9th, I saw the effect.  However, the most pleasant surprise for me was to see one company, in which I had most of my invested money in at the time, rocket past all the other giants.  Vertex (VRTX) had a higher percentage gain than any of the others I had been watching--at about 11.9% for the day!
